Marlene Kenney

Marlene Kenney, MA, LICSW

Licensed Therapist

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the National Catholic School of Social Service in Washington DC. My social work practice and mindset builds on my training as an anthropologist from Northeastern University where I earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology.

I believe that we can heal what has happened to us and that who we are is evolving AND deeply connected to our environments. My trauma focused and trauma informed practice includes working with communities after a tragedy or disaster, organizations learning to be trauma informed and responsive to employees, AS WELL as individuals on their unique healing journey.

I am heavily influenced by EMDR Therapy and serve as an EMDRIA approved consultant, clinician, and facilitator. In 2020 I became a member of the EMDRIA Council of Scholars, a select group of EMDR professionals whose goal is to chart the future of EMDR.
